Who you are agreeing with

WRAPT is operated by Markus Klemann, a sole proprietorship, Agathenstraße 12, 20357 Hamburg, Germany. You can reach us at legal@itswrapt.app. Full provider details are on the imprint page.

These terms apply when you use WRAPT. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

What WRAPT is

WRAPT is a private place for two people to keep gift ideas for each other without spoiling the surprise. It checks whether you are both heading for the same gift, without showing either of you what the other wrote, and quietly moves one of the two down its list.

You can start on your own and invite the other person later. Until you are linked, WRAPT keeps your list and reminds you of your occasions; the check for the same gift, the small questions and the gift suggestions start once the two of you are linked.

WRAPT is currently in beta. You create an account with an email address you control, either by signing up or through an invitation. An invitation is personal and is not transferable.

It is free, and what that means

WRAPT costs nothing. There is no subscription, no payment, no trial that turns into a charge, and no advertising. We do not sell your data; the privacy page says exactly what happens to it.

Because it is free and in beta, it may change, break, or stop. We may add features, remove them, or end the service entirely. Where it is reasonably possible, we will tell you before we shut something down that holds your content, and give you a chance to get that content out.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 years old to hold a WRAPT account. One account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at legal@itswrapt.app if you think someone else has got into your account.

A pair is two accounts that have linked to each other. Either of you can unlink at any time. When you unlink, each of you keeps your own lists, and nothing of one person’s is handed to the other. What only existed between the two of you is deleted.

What you may not do

Do not use WRAPT to break the law, to harass anyone, or to store content you have no right to store. Do not try to reach another person’s account or data, do not probe or overload the service, do not scrape it, and do not work around the parts that keep one partner from seeing what the other wrote. Those parts are the product.

If you do any of this, we may suspend or close your account. Where the breach is minor and fixable, we will normally ask you to fix it first.

What you write stays yours

The gift ideas, notes and answers you put into WRAPT are yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

To run the service at all we need permission to store your content, show it back to you, and process it so the app can do its job, which includes checking automatically whether an idea of yours collides with one of your partner’s. That permission is limited to operating WRAPT, it is not exclusive, and it ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we do not sell or publish it.

Availability

We do not promise that WRAPT is available at any particular time or free of faults. It is a beta, run by one person, and it will sometimes be down. We fix what we can see, and the privacy page describes the error reporting that helps us see it.

Liability

We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee.

For simple negligence we are liable only where we breach an obligation that makes performing this agreement possible in the first place and that you may therefore reasonably rely on. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for an agreement of this kind. Any further liability for simple negligence is excluded.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Ending it

You can stop using WRAPT whenever you like. You can delete your account yourself under Settings, or ask us to by emailing privacy@itswrapt.app. What happens to your data then is set out on the privacy page.

We may close your account if you breach these terms, or if we end the service. Both of us may terminate this agreement at any time, since nobody is paying for anything.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when WRAPT gains a feature this page does not cover. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you carry on using WRAPT after that, the new terms apply. If you do not want them, you can close your account.

Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer and normally live in another country, you keep the protections that the mandatory law of that country gives you, and nothing here takes those away.

We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
